What We Do

As HR professionals we begin by listening to you and understanding your ideal outcomes. This helps us support you in managing your people, giving you time to focus on successfully achieving your business goals.

Our Services

A refresh of contracts and handbooks is how many of our new clients begin working with us.

We know that it can be difficult to stay on top of the changes to employment regulations and to ensure that key documents are refreshed when necessary.

We take the time to work through all your requirements for contracts and handbooks. We work with you to plan how to present this to the staff in your business. Some of our clients choose a very formal approach, whilst others have a more relaxed style – our job is to ensure that the detail of the information and ease of understanding for staff is of the highest quality, however it is delivered.

In addition, we review business sector specific requirements that our clients may have and ensure that these are also suitably accommodated in the contractual documents we produce. We ask a lot of questions in order to ensure that we have fully understood all that our clients will rely on these documents for.

We also offer support with the introduction of the change to employment contracts – an area that can present significant and largely unanticipated high-cost risk if not undertaken appropriately.

If you take up the option of being a retained client this means that we will provide you with all the information necessary to anticipate planned change and that we will support you in the revision and implementation of these key documents.

We know that occasionally new initiatives alter the status quo, or things go wrong. In these instances, we offer guidance at all levels, providing you with employee relations support for areas such as consultation, grievance, discipline or absence management – including in-person attendance at meetings, as appropriate.

Equally, we offer support in the development of people related business strategy. – both at planning & development stage and in practice. If you wish to introduce new people initiatives such as staff engagement surveys or refresh existing activity, for example by introducing a new approach to appraisal, we can work with you to develop and deliver these.

Whether we’re advising you or your HR team we ensure that we understand what you want to achieve for your business and advise you accordingly.

Our approach is both practical and pragmatic. As in all aspects of our work with clients we ask a lot of questions to ensure we fully understand the issues and the wider business context.

The option of being a retained client means that we have an ongoing awareness of both your day to day people issues and your longer-term people strategy. With this information we can advise and guide you so as to minimise the escalation of risk and address any issues at the earliest possible opportunity.

A number of our clients choose regular support in the form of a retainer. This approach enables us to get to know your business really well and work alongside you for a pre agreed number of hours a month (you set the level) to support all aspects of people management and development.

Our approach to our retainer business is a co-operative one. A number of businesses who collectively benefit from hours of support at a fixed hourly rate enables us to deliver our services at a cost-efficient price and helps us keep our additional charges for work, over and above retained levels, at a reduced rate for these clients

We deliver a full range of ongoing service support to our retained clients, from assistance with software management to advice on strategic people plans.
Being a retained client means that we provide you with all the information necessary to anticipate planned contractual change and ensure that we’re available to support you in the revision and implementation of key contract documents and handbooks. In addition, we provide guidance on the necessary steps to ensure that these are adopted into current arrangements with minimal disruption and low risk.

It also means that we have an ongoing awareness of both your day to day people issues and your longer-term people strategy. With this information we can advise and guide you so as to minimise the escalation of staff related risk across your business and address any issues at the earliest possible opportunity.

We can be the affordable HR team on your team.
